The vineyard to this day is cultivated in a traditional manner and according to the rules of the art, resulting in deep and elegant wines. The wines are the result of rigor and excellence in each plot of this property. Each plot and grape variety are vinified separately, and the ancient foot treading is maintained in the production of Port Wines. The tone is set by the “Earth”, and according to the philosophy of the Austruy vineyards, the interventions carried out aim to accompany the vine, allowing it to give its best in a context that is unique every year: the harvest. Quinta da Côrte focuses on producing high-quality DOC Douro wines and special categories of Port Wines.
Quinta da Côrte
Grande Reserva Red
The Quinta da Côrte Douro DOC Grande Reserva Tinto reflects the excellence of a unique terroir and embodies the distinctive character of the estate. Produced from a careful selection of the finest grapes from old vineyard parcels, this wine represents the Quinta’s commitment to quality. With a deep and captivating colour, it reveals complex aromas of black fruit and chocolate, spices, and softly integrated wood notes. On the palate, it presents an elegant structure with a long and persistent finish, leaving a lasting impression of sophistication and refinement.
Princesa Reserve Red
The Princesa wine is an anthem to the land of Quinta da Côrte and the first wine from the Douro following the acquisition of the property by the Vignoble Austruy Group. With a fine and elegant structure, this wine showcases the exuberance of its terroir, offering an intensely fresh aroma of red fruits and spices in harmony with floral notes, culminating in a complete and unparalleled finish.
Côrte Princesa White
The name change from Côrte Douro DOC White to Côrte Princesa Douro DOC White aims to strengthen the identity and clarity of the only white wine within the Quinta da Côrte wine “family”. Made exclusively from 100 % white grapes grown on the estate’s vineyards, it ensures full coherence between name, origin and terroir expression. The wine comes notably from 5 hectares of Viosinho planted at 500 m altitude in the Cima Corgo sub-region, at the heart of the Douro Valley, and stands out for its natural freshness and refined character. By associating Princesa with Côrte, the wine’s strong connection to its estate and history is more clearly expressed, giving it a more distinctive, memorable and consistent personality within the range. The wine itself remains unchanged — only its name evolves — while retaining the Douro DOC designation, a guarantee of authenticity.
Port Wines
The Porto wines from Quinta da Côrte are the ultimate expression of the unique terroir of this estate. Originating from century-old vineyard parcels, these wines are produced in limited quantities and stand out for their unique character. They reveal a deep and rich structure, supported by intense freshness. The preservation of age-old traditions results in an ancestral combination, offering a unique and firm energy in every drop, coupled with a memorable and long finish.
