Tasting notes
A fine example of what Touriga Franca can produce in good schist terroirs, this blend has good body, clean-cut aromas of fresh red and black fruits and mineral notes. Refined and elegant, it displays good volume and a long, sleek finish which shows off the great minerality of this wine.
Vinification
After sorting on the vine and on tables, the grapes are destemmed and gravity-fed into small containers. After 3 weeks’ maceration and light punching-down, malolactic fermentation is carried out in vats before the juice goes into casks.

Tasting notes
With a rich ruby red colour, this blend opens with a powerful and supremely elegant nose. Liquorice, violets, red and black fruits, cocoa, spices and balsamic notes combine to form a complex, harmonious whole. The initial mouth feel, which is dense and embellished with creamy, well-integrated tannins, is robust and develops strongly, with a smooth but powerful underlying structure whose wonderfully mellow acidity gives it great length. A great wine for laying down.
Vinification
After the grapes are sorted in the field and on tables, they are vatted by gravity into small 10 hectolitre and 28 hectolitre containers. After a 15-day maceration with light punching-down, the juice undergoes malolactic fermentation in the vats before going into casks.

Tasting notes
Distinct notes of spices and pepper, gradually opening out into floral notes such as iris. The attack is broad and powerful and displays tannins which are notable by their presence but also smooth, lengthy and flavourful. The finish already shows freshness but needs more time to develop fully.
Vinification
In closed stainless steel vats

Tasting notes
Smooth, full-bodied and richly flavoured, carried on a background of mellow, creamy tannins and with a well-matured acidity giving balance to a wine which is elegantly structured from start to finish. The finish is finely honed, long and delicate, and vividly expresses the mineral imprint of the schist.
Vinification
After being sorted and destemmed but not crushed, the grapes are put into stainless steel vats, where extraction is then carried out as gently and slowly as possible in order to preserve freshness and fruitiness. They are delicately infused in the must for several weeks, and punching down of the cap takes place at regular intervals
